Books, Blabber & Being Me

It seems like forever since I've posted! I feel like I have a lifetime of things to catch up on and share with you and in part, it's true. I know... I know.. it's taking me a while to post lately and I do apologize! Will you forgive me if I say I have a really important reason AND it's true?

I miss my site, reviews, books, products and most of all, I miss all of you (my blogging friends). I can't Thank you for all of you that have taken the time to check up on me, write to me, send cards and letters, etc. I appreciate it more than you know! 

I have quite a few changes that I need to make for a while. For those of you that do not know, I am in the hospital, I will be still running my contests and guest posts.  I'd like to get the site back to where it was.  I have quite a few authors that will be here with guest posts and giveaways, along with companies and their product giveaways.

I may, for the time being, need you to just pay attention to when winners are listed. I am going to *TRY* to still email each winner, but in the last post of "And the Winners Are", The Duchess kindly asked that to make it easier on me, if your name was listed, you email me at PrincessPrizes@Yahoo.com with your full name and address (to claim your prizes) MANY of you did not.  Sadly, some of them were really large prizes! 

I don't want to have to create a form of some sort where you put in your name, address and what you've done in the extras.  But, if I have to, I will. I can't keep drawing and redrawing winner's names.  I want the very first winner, the one that's worked hard, just as hard as the second winner chosen, to get their prize. OK?

Also, I now am in need of less that 90 followers to reach 1000 through Google Friend Connect! This is HUGE for me and without you, it wouldn't be possible! So, I'm here to ask you - my very wonderful blogging friends, to spread the word about Park Avenue Princess! You WILL be REWARDED! Also, I have quite a few reviews to get up! I have decided to make Park Avenue Princess mainly YA/MG/Children's.  But, I do have a passion for an occasional thriller or something girlie! I'd like to thank those of you that have mailed to let me know you've gotten your book and/or to thank me, it means a lot to know that almost all of you ARE getting your books!  Obviously my site isn't the only one the publishers work with to giveaway books, they have their own busy schedule of giveaways to mail out.  One other thing -- the quicker you get me you full name and address, the sooner I can send it in!  I don't want you to feel alone, you have NO idea how many books that have 'gone missing' on me, or come opened, don't show, or some come and some don't.  I've had to actually put in a complaint with the post office!

Thanks to CSN Office Furniture, My Books Have A New Home!!

After recently speaking with Jason of CSN Office Furniture, I am SURE I KNOW what the "CSN" stands for! Want my guess? "Customer Service Number 1"! I haven't come across a company so concerned with their customer's satisfaction in a LONG time! They take the time to find out what you're exactly looking for and to answer any questions you may have. It's also hard not to mention that CSN Stores sell everything from Home Office Furniture to children’s furniture and toys! Don't believe me? Just check out all that CSN has to offer at their online store! I'm sure you'll find anything and everything you'd ever need to make your home or office everything you dreamed it could be!

They have THE most beautiful bookcases and shelves! (Talk about a book lover's fantasy!) They also have desks, chairs and just about anything else you could think of! These are a few of my favorites!

I could definitely picture these in the castle! Aren't they cute?

Now, the BEST part...I got to choose a bookcase (from their huge stock) and then do a review! Words can't express just how thankful I am to Jason or how very excited I am to see it in person! When the bookcase arrives, I will post which one I've chosen and what my final thoughts are on the piece!

A New Beginning!

Hi All!

Well, I'm finally home...

You have NO idea how good this feels! I can start reviewing again on a daily basis and I can hold contests and see all of my friends again.

But, I can't lie, there have been many changes made in my life. Permanent changes that have affected me greatly. I'm not ready to talk about all of them yet, but I will...in time. You've all been wonderful and to the authors and publishers "THANK YOU"! Can you hear me yelling?? See me waving *Waving Madly*!! Cancer is a horrible thing. It doesn't pick and choose. It's equally terrible to everyone! It doesn't care what you do, how old you are, what color you are, if you have a family or if you don't...

My choice...to fight back. And that I did. Did I win? To me, somewhat...and I know you all don't understand what I mean yet, but you will. I'm just not ready to talk about it yet and when I am, you'll be the first to know. A few closer friends online do know. I chose to tell them through private emails that they've sent to me. But enough about *C*...and more about BLOGGING, BLOGGERS and BOOKS!! YAY!!

I've received some really great books to review recently and I will get those posted! And today, I received a friend request on Face Book from my favorite Thriller writer Rick R. Reed! He now has ten (10) published Novels and I couldn't be happier for him! Continued success to you Rick! I was extremely surprised and honored that he was looking for me and wondering how I was doing. It made me *blush* a little... Anyway, he has a great post on the blog entitled "In Cold Blog" about his real life stalker experience and it's quite scary...you should check it out!

Another great thing...I've been book blogging over a year! It seems like yesterday! I can't believe it .... SO, in honor of that, I'm thinking up a great GIVE-A-WAY while we speak (or AS I TYPE!). Going through the blogs, I see just how much I've missed and some of it was quite a shock...

Dewey...I don't know what to say. I couldn't believe what I was reading and my prayers and heart go out to her and her family! I was sad I missed the read-a-thon. I missed so much. Those things made me sad and mad. It made me think of my own family and friends...my friends on line and what cancer "took away" from ME! I have been reading all of your blogs, just not posting on many! I've been lurking for a bit...Nymeth? Congrats on your "Dangerous Alphabet Book"... how cool is that?? Trish, I missed you greatly! And so many of you I tried to contact personally in a letter. J.Kaye? Your BLOG looks AMAZING! I promise to catch up on everyone and what they are doing...I also hope to have many of you stopping by here to catch up with me as well! So stop by and pass my blog on!

There are other things to "ME" besides reading and I think that I might let you all in on those things in between reviews as well...just in case...you never know. I don't want you to think ALL I do is READ. I love FASHION, PINK, CHOCOLATE and SATC...SHOES....SHOES AND SHOES! This year I think I'm going to let it all out. I have to. And not for you...for ME! Why I'm Giving Away A Book Of Your Choice.

Someone asked me why I was giving away a book of their choice and not mine or one that I've read. There really is no short answer for this. I'll try to sum it up for you though. (Because there are way too many contests going on to listen to me babble, right?) Why? Because I LOVE to read and I LOVE books. That could be the really shortened version of it. (Wait...really, there's more) I want EVERYONE to share this love with me. When I decided to do a contest, I couldn't even think of parting with one of my books. One that I've read and loved. My family and friends laugh at me! They do! Not like Ha-Ha-Ha while pointing, but they ask me what I've read lately and as soon as I start to ramble, they all exchange those looks. Then I know what's coming next. First, they smile and then say "I know, it's your new favorite, right?" I think that's just because they don't understand me fully...lol Each one of the books on my shelf that I've read has in some way become an old friend. I live with them, know their story, and I LOVE them. I also admire them for both their beauty and the knowledge they hold. And when I need comfort, like an old friend, they're always there. BOOKS are wonderful things. So, I let you choose your own friends. In this particular case, when you read the one I send you, think of ME as well.
